E a famigerada temporada de prêmios do cinema e televisão já começou! E nada melhor do que o aclamado Emmy Awards para colocar o pé direito na porta e explodir tudo com um evento que mexeu com o público presente e os selecionados desse ano, e sobrou até para quem não estava por ali. Repleto de pontuações políticas, o evento foi marcado por emoções e muito bom humor.

A lista com os indicados da 69ª edição saiu em julho quebrando recordes com a ótima “Westworld” – a cartada que a HBO vem investindo para ser a grande substituta de Game of Thrones – que concorria em 22 categorias, mas foi esquecida pelos votantes. A Série, de Jonathan Nolan e Lisa Joy, é uma ficção futurista que mistura drama com uma pitada de faroeste. Contudo esse não foi o ano dela, que viu seus prêmios seguirem para o lado da elogiada “The Handmaid’s Tale”. A série, lançada pela plataforma de streaming Hulu (não muito conhecida por aqui), levou alguns dos prêmios mais importantes da noite. Já “Saturday Night live”, que também havia sido lembrado em 22 indicações, não saiu de mãos abanando e levou algum para o estúdio. “Big Little Lies“ também foi outro grande vencedor do Emmy 2017, abocanhando importantes categorias.
